Asexuality Exists...

Hello there. Today I would like to talk to you about Asexuality. Starting today, October, 26 to November, 1 is Asexuality Awareness Week. It’s a week to show people that Asexuality does exist and it is an Orientation. Despite what people think they know about it, some don’t know everything about it. There are different types in the Asexuality Spectrum and how do I know that? Well, it’s easy.

I am an Asexual. Yes. I am an Asexual author who writes erotic romance and there are quite a few like me. The spectrum I am in is the Romantic Orientations. I am a Biromantic Asexual. Which means I am romantically attracted to both sexes. I am not sexually attracted to anyone and I have no interest in sex and I am indifferent, which means I neither like it no hate it, but will never try it. Since coming out as an Asexual I have many who support me, especially my sister Torie James. She is very supportive and proud. She is a true ally to Asexuals and so are the rest of my friends.

Since coming out as an Asexual, I’ve had support and I’ve had my taste of being harassed and bullied because it. But I stand by who I am. I am proud of who I am. Nobody will bring me down. I will spread the word of Asexuality so others know we’re here and we’re here to stay. We’re making ourselves known and we’ll educate others about us.

Asexuality: No sexual attraction to anyone.
Biromantic: Romantically attracted to both sexes.

Please feel free to ask me any questions if you like and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I like being organized the best I can.

Just a little something

Here is just a little something from my head. Unedited too. Why? Because it's short. It's M/M of course and there's kissing. So it's two men kissing. *makes kissing noises*

Perci T. Brooks is owner of this short.

The wetness dropped down and it made a little thud as it landed on the umbrella. They walked hand in hand as the rain fell around them. Both young men were silent as they went.

Thunder sounded and the younger man jumped a little. He wasn't expecting thunder while they were out. He's always been afraid of storms since he was a kid and he never grew out of it. The other hand squeezed his and turning his head he smiled.

"Everything will be okay, my love. We're almost home."

Just as soon as spoke those words, the thunder sounded again. This time closer and with it came lightning and a gust of wind. Everything startled the shorter young man and he couldn't hold on to the umbrella anymore. Finally he gave up fighting with it and let it go. The rain was dampening his hair and clothes and he started shaking from the thunder that kept getting closer and closer.

"Hey." his lover let go of his hand and pressed him up against the nearest wall.

The smaller man squeezed his eyes shut.

Hands were on his true love's arms, moving up and down. "Hey. Open your eyes."

The blonde shook his head.

Sighing he had to think quickly. So he decided on the one thing his man loved. Leaning down, he claimed those cold light pink lips and wrapped his arms around him.

It was a passionate kiss and it helped him stop shaking. Breaking the warm kiss, he bit his lip and opened his eyes looking up at his paramour. "Th-thank you."

"I love you. Now, let's get home and get you warmed up. I'm thinking fireplace, us in front of it, hot cocoa and the TV."

Smiling, he nodded. "Yes."

Stop Animal Abuse

Every author has something they're passionate about and I am no different. I am no different. All animals deserve to have loving homes and furparents to give them loves, treats, toys and a lap. Like people, animals have equal rights and us as hoomans must protect them. A lot of us are Furparents to whatever kind of animal we have.

I am a furparent to 4 cats (and we have 2 dogs) and I adore my cats and the dogs. I would protect them from harm. They're my babies. I spoil them like a parent would spoil their own child.

So please if you see an animal in need, please help them. I have many dreams and I've already accomplished one of them and that's becoming an author. My other dream is to one day have my own no kill shelter and I would save animals from shelters before they are put down.

If you can go to a shelter to adopt an adult animal and a baby animal. All sorts of animals need love no matter what and if you see an animal being abused before you, please take that animal away or call someone. Thank you.

Just a little shout out

Hello world...It's me Perci. Just in case you've forgotten :) Anywho, I was just stopping by to give shout outs. I have a lot of supporters and especially a lot more since I revealed something important. Some are yaoi fans and some are non-yaoi fans, but they support me either way. And I wanted to give them a thank you.

My Friends:

You all know who you are. I don't know what I would do without all of you. Either you're a yaoi fan or not you all have told me not to give up when I was in a slump. I know this sounds corny and all and I'm not too good with words, but my Soul Mate Bestie AnaiCheri you rock. I don't have to tell you that, but you know I love you and you continue to support me no matter what. You're my little sister. Never forget that. My BFF from another family, Lemy: No matter what you've always been there and you know I wouldn't change nothing of our 30 year friendship. You are one of my longtime friends, even though we haven't seen each other in years (but I'm working on that). You've always been there since I told you I wanted to be a writer. You've always been my sister. I'm glad I could share this with you and of course I can't forget one other special person. One of my loves Christy: No matter what has happened you're still there for me and I couldn't be happier to have you along for the ride. I'm really glad you're here. I don't think I could do it without you either. You rock. Never forget that.

Torie James:

My sister...I love you. You've always been there for me and never got me to give up, even when I wanted too and you've been there for the struggles. Thank you. Torie's FB Page: Torie James Author Page & Torie's Blog: Oh The Place's I Go

Tracey Michael:

My mentor to whom I love tons. You are special to me and mean the world to me. You know I love coming to you when I need something looked at it. Thank you for everything. Tracey's FB Page: Tracey's Author Page

The Yaoi Addiction Society:

This page right here...It's a great page if you love yaoi. The owner Katie is awesome. She supports any yaoi (m/m) artist there is. She has other admins to help her out and she's the one I go too, too ask if I can share anything that I've written out that is yaoi related. She is a supporter of anyone in the yaoi area and I am glad to call her a friend. I am happy to have her as one of my supporters and with her help she has helped with a book idea. She rocks. The page link is on the side of page, but I'll add them here too. The Yaoi Addiction Society: The Yaoi Addiction Society FB Page & The Yaoi Addiction Site: The Yaoi Addiction Society Wordpress

Yaoi Fangirls Who Wish They Were Gay Guys II:

And this page too is another supporter of mine. Cloud is helpful and I always ask her if I can share something yaoi original in her group, because I always like to make sure before I post it. Yaoi Fangirls: Yaoi Fangirls TWTW Gay Guys II FB & Yaoi Fangirls TWTW: Yaoi Fangirls tumblr

Hoppin' Blogs and Stuffs

I got tagged by the lovely talented author of New Camelot Torie James. She is just a wonderful lady who has put a new twist on Camelot. I can't thank her enough for the encouragement she has given me over the years.

~Perci Brooks: The Percinator just signed with Sybaritic Press and her debut novel, My Beloved Demon, should be out by fall. Perci is someone whose drive and passion inspire me daily. She writes in a most elusive field that borders on BDSM, Paranormal, and Manga-esque. It's a huge challenge I'm not sure I could rise to as its way off mainstream and she takes a lot free spirited risks, refusing to "neuter" her charries or ideas. I love rebels!~Torie James~

So come along on my journey and see what I cook up. You'll probably be surprised.

This blog hop focuses on "The Writing Process" so settle in and join me as I take you through the minefield of my 'magination. No refunds, no returns  and thank the Gods there are questions to answer or I'd be wandering around with no limits and that can get messy!

What am I working on?

I am currently working on finishing edits for My Beloved Demon.I'm hoping to be finished with those soon. I've added quite a bit to it as well and I hope people enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I think this will inspire people to do what they want to do. I hope...

Other than that I've been in the works with book 2 in the My Beloved Series along with working on other book ideas that have happened to pop into this brain of mine and slightly take over. :) I've been slightly working on a new book here and there. Another M/M book. So, we'll see what happens.

How does my work differ from others in my genre?

Wow....That's a good one. I never know how to answer this, because I'm a bit different from other people. I will write what other's won't touch. I want to inspire and show it doesn't matter how different you are. Look at me. I take things that others won't dare touch, because they're too vanilla to go there. Not me. Give me something unusual, unpure and I'll turn it into something beautiful and inspiring. I go where nobody is comfortable and I'll give it life. Don't be afraid of what you don't know. Sometimes you have to go out of your comfort zone.

Why do I write what I do?

Why huh? That is the day old question and most of the time it's the same answer. Usually I say because I love it.My answer now is because I want to Inspire. I write what I do so others out there won't always wonder if they can do it. I want them to see me or my name and say "I can do it.". Yes, I was afraid being out there like that and have been told I shouldn't write that and such and yes I almost gave up, but then I decided I'm not. This is me. I'm no mainstream person. I'm beyond mainstream baby, I have supporters who love what I do and who want more and others who have told me I inspire them. That;s what I'm here for. Inspiration.

How does my writing process work?

My process works easily.I'm all organised. Everything has to be in order. I work on the plot or my own world first (which ever comes forth), then when I got the plot figured out I bring up the characters and once the characters are figured out I go forth and bring every thing to life. I can't do anything out of order. It drives me crazy.

Now it's time for the tagging. To which I really have no idea who to tag really.

Achieve Your Goal

Everyone can achieve their goal. No matter how difficult they think it is. If you want it go for it. Because you never know what will happen until you try.

I achieved mine last year...I had a little road block for a while, but I'm back on track and couldn't be happier. So if I can do it so can you.

Never give up on what you want to do.

Getting to know Perci T. Brooks

So you wanna know about Perci, huh? Well, I hope you're ready.

Perci is a simple girl really, who has dreamed about writing since she opened a book by R.L. Stine. She wanted to write like him, but learned she couldn't write horror like him. Her elder sister, Torie found out that she had a talent for writing and continued to encourage her.

But there are some things you don't know about Perci and I hope once you know it you'll be inspired. She is one of millions, maybe billions who was born with medical problems. Yep, that's right. She has dealt with them her entire life. Perci is as well hard of hearing, being completely deaf in her left ear and lost some hearing in her right ear, but she can still hear. She also has a learning disability and she stutters. Perci also has an Anxiety Disorder and she is an Agoraphobic.

Despite all these problems she has the support of her family and friends, who try their best day in and day out to help her, even if they don't fully understand the issues. I am lucky to have them in my life.

Now, the million dollar question as they say. Why do I write?

Perci writes, because she has stories to tell. Yes, they may not be stories for everyone, because she writes what others won't touch, but she wants to tell stories. Oh are there stories to tell.

She wants to inspire and encourage others to do what they want, what they dream of doing. Don't let others tell you that you can't do that. Take life by the horns and show them what you've got. Because whatever you got to do there is a place for it. You may need to search for that fan base, but you can do it.

Reach for those stars. Take chances. Perci takes chances with her stories she has to tell, but she knows there is a place for them and she keeps going. As most people know Perci is very LGBT friendly and a big supporter of that community. For those who don't know Perci is as well Bisexual, but she keeps going no matter how some may pull her down because of what she writes.

Her stories will be told and hopefully she'll find people she has inspired to chase their dreams.

Don't be afraid to inspire someone

Today's blog talk is about...Yup you guessed it. Inspiration. Everyone has something or someone that inspires them. I have a lot of things that inspire me, but mostly what inspired me to write was author R.L. Stine and my sister, Torie James.

Since purrsuing my writing to be published (yes it's going to be one book, but still...) A friend told me I inspire her and that gave me a happy. She was the first person who ever said that to me and she doesn't write, she draws, but still she is an artist and I am an artist. She still has no idea how happy that makes me. Even when she still says it.

Then recently from announcing my contract signing with Sybaritic Press and announcing it just about everywhere, someone friended me and told me that I inspire him and that made me happy. Truly it did. I've never inspired people till now. That means as an author I'm doing my job right.

True I may not write like other people, because I touch on touchy subjects and some people happen to not like that. I enjoy writing Yaoi (Boys Love, etc...) not many like that, but I write to tell stories and out there others are going to be inspired and achieve their dreams, because they see that I wrote something that some don't like. I want to help inspire and if I can inspire others then my job is done.

Okay, not done for good. Why? Because I still have more stories to tell and hopefully more people to inspire. :)

Writing is my Passion

I know I am terrible at updating my blog. I've been busy helping promoting my biggest fan Torie James. She rocks my socks off for the record. So I was tagged by Torie to answer 4 questions. So here we go pervs. ;)

Answer the following four questions regarding your writing process and WIP, and then tag four more writers to carry it on after you. Everyone is giving a shout out to the person who linked them first. Which was Torie James {http://torienjames.blogspot.com/}.
I'm supposed to tag 4 people. But I don't know who to tag. So feel free to do this.

Question time. Let's see what I have to say.

*1) What are you working on? Right now I'm working on a lovely twist about Hades. It'll be a M/M story. Yes that's right, I'm having Hades be gay and his lovely wife Seph is Asexual. I've got the plot and I'm still working on some of the characters.

*2) How does your work differ from others in the genre? Well, I'm someone who will basically touch on what other's won't. I like to dabble in a little bit of this and a little bit of that really.

*3) Why do you write what you write? I write what I write, because I like it. I enjoy being different from others. It's who I am and who I will always be. I enjoy putting a little bit of truth in my fiction.

*4) How does your writing process work? Ahhhh...The age old question I'm always asked. And here is my answer to that one. I'm organized for my writing. The plot and characters must be done before I start the writing process. Once those are done I begin the start of my precious book. I always must start from the bginning.

There you have it my lovely pervs. Me some what in a nutshell. I hope you've enjoyed. Chu *kisses*

Getting to know Torie James

I am glad to have Torie James here. By the way, ever want to know something about author Torie James? Well now you can. I present to you...

Ten Things You Don’t Know About Torie James

1. I had a massive crush on Shaun Cassidy when I was 7 years old.
2. I can play the violin. Not well. But passably.
3. I read Gone with The Wind when I was 9.
4. After that, I spent the next year turning our home into “Tara.”
5. I had an imaginary friend named “Danny” when I was younger. My aunt had a college boyfriend, also named Danny. They thought it would be cute to send me a card from my “friend.” I freaked out and screamed down the house as I knew my buddy was “fake” and here I was getting mail from him? WE NEEDED A PRIEST!! EXORCISM!!!!
6. I turned the basement of my grandma’s basement into my own private “mad genius” lab between the ages of 8 and 10. The Fire Department was only called on twice.
7. My parents met Harrison Ford at a local Denny’s a couple months after Star Wars premiered. They failed to bring “Han Solo” home. I’ve only just started speaking to them again.
8. I am fascinated with hookers. True story. No clue why. Always hoped that we had some strange, rich ol’ relative who ran a bordello and left it to me. Don’t ask.
9. There is no hair color that my own hair hasn’t been. Including the neons.
10. I met Ricky Shroeder when I was 13. I fainted.

Excerpt from Timeless Desire, Book Two of New Camelot, with Nimue and Gawain:

"Let me go, Gawain. It's easy. As for the blood link, simple solution. We can continue to provide each other with what's needed without being together. As black as your blood is, it does provide me with the necessary sustenance. But that's all you are to me, now. A food source. There is no happy ending for us. You botched that up proper. I have stayed my voice the last few months for Bri. For Alex. But I owe you nothing. So let me go my way!" She moved as wind, reaching down to snatch off one of her stiletto'd heels, her free hand shoving him back into the wall, mortar crumbling around them. Animosity spurred her on as she angled the heel over his heart. "Or I will kill you. I swear it. I will kill you and in killing you, I kill myself. That's how desperate I am to be free of you."

Timeless Desire, available from Breathless Press on March 21st, 2014

Welcome to New Camelot...not everything remains myth.

Perci, thank you SO much for letting me hijack your blog today! The honor was all mine!
