Excerpt

PRINCE AMORY STORMED down the hallway toward the throne room, his trusted friend Covyll right behind him as always. He was glad Covyll had informed him. He’d tried so hard to be different from his family and had gained trust from servants he’d taken from them and employed to work solely for him. All these people in the castle might be servants, but they were still people; though it seemed he was the only one who understood that. Reaching the double doors, he took a deep breath.

He and the king had never seen eye to eye on anything.

He pushed open the doors and strode in, approaching the king. “Father, stop this immediately.”
The king backhanded him, ignoring the soft gasps of his couriers. His icy tone matched the cold look in his eyes. “Do not talk to me like that. I am your king first, and I can do as I please.”

“You have always been the king first. Not once have you ever been a father to me. You’ve treated me like a bastard child all these years.”

The servant shifted, biting his lip and attempting to stifle the groan the movement caused. Amory could tell the man’s knees were aching. How long had Floyd kept him in this position? Another furtive attempt to move away caught the king’s attention and he dealt another blow to the servant’s already-reddened face. Raising his arm once more, the king snarled when Amory grabbed it, holding it in midair.

“Unhand me,” the king commanded, staring daggers at Amory.

The prince stood between his father and the servant. He didn’t speak right away, and when he did, he lowered his tone, never breaking eye contact. “With your merciful permission, Your Majesty, I’ll take him. He’ll answer to me, or to Covyll if I am not present.” He paused, choosing his words. “A king of your stature shouldn’t be worrying about the affairs of one lone servant.”

Be there for others

Hi everyone. Long time no see. I was gonna post this on my author page, but it was going to be long. So I decided to put it here. I'm a supporter for everyone and I want to be an inspiration for others.

As you all know I came out as an asexual author, so it shouldn't matter what your sexuality is when you're an author. I happen to be an asexual who writes yaoi (male/male) books. I also happen to be hearing impaired, walk with a cane and am handicapped, but that doesn't stop me from doing my dream. My dream is to be an author, which I've achieved that.

No matter what anyone says never say hurtful things. I've seen a lot of that lately from authors bullying other authors to just regular people bashing other people. We should be helping others. We should be there for them for support. We should be lifting up their spirits instead of crushing them. It shouldn't matter how different we are.

Don't hurt people when they want to let stuff out. Try and help them the best you can. All you can really do is be there for them, try and help look on bright side of things, be there friend, because if you need to let something out, then that person will be there for you because you helped them through something dark.

I've seen others attacked, including myself and its hurtful. Try to be someone's reason to smile or someone's inspiration. Be someone's inspiration. Remember treat other's how you would want to be treated.

Thank you for your time. Peace, love and cake...

Asexuality Exists...

Hello there. Today I would like to talk to you about Asexuality. Starting today, October, 26 to November, 1 is Asexuality Awareness Week. It’s a week to show people that Asexuality does exist and it is an Orientation. Despite what people think they know about it, some don’t know everything about it. There are different types in the Asexuality Spectrum and how do I know that? Well, it’s easy.

I am an Asexual. Yes. I am an Asexual author who writes erotic romance and there are quite a few like me. The spectrum I am in is the Romantic Orientations. I am a Biromantic Asexual. Which means I am romantically attracted to both sexes. I am not sexually attracted to anyone and I have no interest in sex and I am indifferent, which means I neither like it no hate it, but will never try it. Since coming out as an Asexual I have many who support me, especially my sister Torie James. She is very supportive and proud. She is a true ally to Asexuals and so are the rest of my friends.

Since coming out as an Asexual, I’ve had support and I’ve had my taste of being harassed and bullied because it. But I stand by who I am. I am proud of who I am. Nobody will bring me down. I will spread the word of Asexuality so others know we’re here and we’re here to stay. We’re making ourselves known and we’ll educate others about us.

Asexuality: No sexual attraction to anyone.
Biromantic: Romantically attracted to both sexes.

Please feel free to ask me any questions if you like and thank you for taking the time to read this.
