So you wanna know about Perci, huh? Well, I hope you're ready.
Perci is a simple girl really, who has dreamed about writing since she opened a book by R.L. Stine. She wanted to write like him, but learned she couldn't write horror like him. Her elder sister, Torie found out that she had a talent for writing and continued to encourage her.
But there are some things you don't know about Perci and I hope once you know it you'll be inspired. She is one of millions, maybe billions who was born with medical problems. Yep, that's right. She has dealt with them her entire life. Perci is as well hard of hearing, being completely deaf in her left ear and lost some hearing in her right ear, but she can still hear. She also has a learning disability and she stutters. Perci also has an Anxiety Disorder and she is an Agoraphobic.
Despite all these problems she has the support of her family and friends, who try their best day in and day out to help her, even if they don't fully understand the issues. I am lucky to have them in my life.
Now, the million dollar question as they say. Why do I write?
Perci writes, because she has stories to tell. Yes, they may not be stories for everyone, because she writes what others won't touch, but she wants to tell stories. Oh are there stories to tell.
She wants to inspire and encourage others to do what they want, what they dream of doing. Don't let others tell you that you can't do that. Take life by the horns and show them what you've got. Because whatever you got to do there is a place for it. You may need to search for that fan base, but you can do it.
Reach for those stars. Take chances. Perci takes chances with her stories she has to tell, but she knows there is a place for them and she keeps going. As most people know Perci is very LGBT friendly and a big supporter of that community. For those who don't know Perci is as well Bisexual, but she keeps going no matter how some may pull her down because of what she writes.
Her stories will be told and hopefully she'll find people she has inspired to chase their dreams.
